A clump of Himalayan Blackberries in an open pasture. Burright Creek runs nearby with a spongy marsh. Tricolors nested here in 2009, but not in 2010 or 2011. The site seems subprime due to the minimum of water.
Directions: From Route 20 take Potter Valley Road northward. In 2.25 miles continue straight on Eastside Potter Valley Road for about 1 mile. Turn Right on Burris Lane for about 1/4 mile. After crossing Burright Creek, take the first driveway on the left. Owner is Jim Armstrong, 707-743-1713. The colony site can not be observed from the road, and permission is required to view it.
