Location: Wetland area in the southwest quadrat of the intersection of Pennington and West Liberty Roads at the extreme central northern edge of Gray Lodge Wildlife Area, California Department of Fish and Game, North Central Region
Habitat: Patchy marshland dominated by bulrush.
Nest locations: Patchy (as dictated by habitat distribution) but densely packed as is typical for the species
