Large groups of males (approximately 300 birds per group) kept moving from field to field down the road in the late afternoon. This site was observed again about 1900 (7 PM), and there was more colony activity at that time, females seen also, and less mass movements of males. Colony was not extremely noisy, but males were singing. Some were going across the road. Close to a lake and natural flooding. No grain silos, but farmers likely had stored grain for their horses.
