I visited the site at 08:50 but the gate was locked. I was able to determine that several hundred tricolors were present, but was unable to make a good estimate from my vantage. I returned from 15:32-15:55 with the same result. I returned on the morning of 18 April when the gate was open and refined the estimates.

18 April 2011 08:32- 09:56 Colony in full swing: singing, display, nestbuilding, copulation. Birds present were counted fairly well during upflights where they gathered in bare cottonwoods. Others were offsite gathering nesting material and foraging and could not all be accounted for at once. Sex ratio from multiple counts: 205 mm : 37 ff

One female seen nestbuilding had an aluminum band on the left leg. There was no color band evident, nor could any number be read through telescope at 50 feet.
