We spotted two groups of 50 tricolored blackbirds with only about 2-4 males to 45-60 females. One group was foraging in the field and the second group was in the field adjacent to the houses about 200-300m North West. We are about 95% confident with our precise count. There were no nearby stored grains, and the dominant landuse was grass/weeds about 1-2 feet tall next to a field. The flock was not carrying any nest material, food and we did not see any juveniles. The colony was quiet and not singing.
