On my way to the first site traveling westbound on Viejas Blvd, right when the road curves to the right, right after I passed the Descanso, Chapel of the Hills to my left, I spotted a flock of tricolored blackbirds on my right, right by a house in a tree. According to Google Earth, Lat/Long for this site is 32.854850, -116.605411. I saw a total of 16 birds, 2 males and 14 females and was able to identify them right before they flew off west bound (toward the Viejas Boulevard site). I am about 95% confident in estimate. The site where I spotted the flock was located about 365 meters from running water, a small stream. I didn't see any of the flock members carrying any food or nesting material, they were not singing and were quiet. I didn't see any stored grains nearby and all birds observed were adults.
